Lumen, a new special-event space co-owned by Pat Shannon of Mike Shannon’s Steaks and Seafood and Pete Ferretti and Buddy Coy of Nectar, The Pepper Lounge and Mandarin, is almost ready to host local brides and grooms, corporate functions and charity events. Located in the old Packard dealership at 2201 Locust St., the unique space features soaring ceilings, enormous windows and a mezzanine-style balcony. Renovation work continues, but Shannon anticipates hosting a few “hard-hat parties” in the venue next month, with an eye toward a full opening by late December.
